Work with us.
Change a kid’s life.

We’re building our team for the 2026–2027 season. If you believe young people are capable of extraordinary things when someone expects it of them — this is your stage.

Who we are

Thirty years of giving young people a real stage.

Founded in 1996, TYT has produced over 225 full-scale productions and introduced thousands of young people across southeastern Massachusetts to the transformative power of live theatre. We are production-based by design — students make real shows, for real audiences, held to real standards. And they rise to meet them.

🎓

Learn by doing

Real productions, real growth. Not workshops or exercises — full shows with live audiences every season.

👥

Professional standards

We hire professionals who hold students to high standards while creating a supportive, joyful environment.

🤝

Radical inclusion

Every student performs. No cuts, ever. Financial aid and Card to Culture ensure no one is kept off the stage.

📅

Built for real life

Rehearsals run 8–12 weeks, once or twice a week — designed around school schedules and real families.

Want to work across multiple programs? Many of our staff direct, music-direct, or choreograph more than one production per season — it’s common and encouraged. Exceptional candidates may also be considered for both regular season and summer programs.

Open Positions

2026–2027 Season

All positions are seasonal and contracted. You may apply for multiple positions in a single submission. Click any role to see available programs.

You will direct a full-scale musical from first rehearsal through closing night, working alongside a Music Director and Choreographer as a unified creative team. TYT productions are held to genuine artistic standards — and our students rise to meet them.

Every registered student gets a role. No one is cut. Auditions determine placement only. Directors engaged early enough may participate in show selection. One director may work multiple productions per season.

As Music Director, you are not a supporting role — you are one-third of the creative team, working in close collaboration with the Production Director and Choreographer from early rehearsals through closing night. TYT productions are full-scale musicals with live audiences, and musical quality is central to what we do.

Keyboard proficiency for rehearsal accompaniment is required. Music Director positions are available for Grades 3–5, 6–8, and 9–12. One Music Director may work multiple productions per season.

Choreography at TYT is a full creative partnership. You will work alongside the Production Director and Music Director from early rehearsals through closing night, creating and teaching movement that serves the production and meets every student where they are.

Our casts are inclusive by design — your choreography needs to be excellent and accessible at the same time. The best candidates have found that this constraint makes the work better, not easier. Choreographer positions are available for Grades 3–5, 6–8, and 9–12. One Choreographer may work multiple productions per season.
